I have something similar happen with my LC9 where it locked upon chambering a round at just before battery. Round in chamber and the slide would not budge. Do you already have an account? In my opinion, a little striker fired pistol such as the Solo has a better chance of a light primer strike than a hammer fired pistol, so an unfired round is a distinct possibility. The ability to eject a live round is not a feature that was designed into the Solo. Having problems with Kimber Solo

Oct 12, 3. I liked the gun. About 20 of them failed to eject. Glad you solved the problem, but for now ill stick with my Glock! Kimber ushered in the Micro 9 in to growing popularity, and in they will discontinue the Solo.
I have several friends that swear by Kimber and preferably the Kimber Ultra Carry. In fact, I have bubba marks on my frame because the takedown lever was sooo tight I had to use a screwdriver to pry it out. However, I have had a couple springfield or rock island armory GI or Mil-Spec full size models that have shot just fine. With that in mind, look at photo 1. Find all posts by Stinger1.

Oct 13, After taking care of the ramp issue myself, I believe the Solo is a good,if not great, design, for a tiny 9mm. Kimber seems to have no problem making hammer-fire pistols so maybe transitioning to a striker-fire just was not in the cards.
